Possible Causes

Faulty fan speed sensor, Fan motor failure, Blocked fan impeller, PCB fan control fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power. Do not run the boiler with a known fan fault, as safe combustion cannot be guaranteed.

Checks (technician):

  • Inspect fan: Remove the combustion cover and visually inspect the Intergas fan and venturi for debris or damage. Ensure the impeller spins freely by hand.
  • Check connections: Verify that the fan plug and tachometer/speed sensor connections are secure on the PCB.
  • Measure supply voltage: With a call for heat and appropriate safety precautions, measure the voltage supplied to the fan. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan assembly.
  • Check tachometer signal: Using an oscilloscope or multimeter (if specified by Intergas), confirm that the fan speed signal returns to the PCB. If absent, replace the fan; if present but not recognized, suspect the PCB.

Fan and PCB replacement should be carried out only by an Intergas-trained technician.
