Possible Causes

Blocked condensate trap, Frozen condensate pipe, Incorrectly installed condensate pipework, Faulty condensate level sensor (if fitted)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power. Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves and eye protection when handling.

Steps:

  • Check external condensate pipe: Inspect the plastic condensate discharge pipe outside for freezing or blockage. Thaw gently with warm (not boiling) water if frozen.
  • Clean condensate trap: Remove the Intergas condensate trap/siphon according to the manual. Empty and rinse with clean water to remove sludge or debris.
  • Verify fall and routing: Ensure the condensate pipe has continuous fall and no sags where water can collect and freeze.
  • Re-prime trap: Fill the trap with clean water before refitting to maintain the water seal.

After reassembly, restore power and reset the boiler. If code 13 persists, a technician should check any condensate level sensor and internal drainage paths.
