Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power. System water may be hot; allow to cool and protect against spills.
Checks:
- Listen for pump: With a call for heat, restore power and listen for the Intergas pump running. A humming noise without flow may indicate a seized rotor.
- Free the rotor (technician): Remove the pump head or access plug and gently turn the rotor with a screwdriver to free it. Reassemble and test.
- Bleed pump: Loosen the pump vent screw slightly to release trapped air, then retighten.
- Check electrical supply: Verify that the pump is receiving the correct voltage from the PCB. If not, the PCB pump relay may be faulty.
If the pump is defective, replace it with an Intergas-approved circulation pump. If the system is heavily sludged, a power flush may be required.
