Possible Causes

Shorted flow NTC sensor, NTC cable damaged and shorted to pipe, Faulty PCB input circuit, Sensor installed incorrectly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power. Let the boiler cool before touching sensors or pipework.

Steps:

  • Inspect sensor and cable: Locate the flow NTC on the flow pipe. Check that the cable is not crushed under the casing or touching hot metal causing insulation damage.
  • Disconnect and test: With power off, disconnect the NTC from the PCB and measure its resistance. A very low resistance (near 0 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor.
  • Check PCB reading: If the sensor tests correctly but the boiler still shows an overrange fault, the PCB may be misreading the signal.

Remedy: Replace the flow NTC sensor if shorted. If replacing the sensor and cable does not resolve the issue, the Intergas main PCB will likely need replacement by a qualified technician.
