Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the cold water isolation valve to the boiler if you need to remove any DHW components.
Checks:
- Locate DHW NTC: On Intergas combi units, the DHW NTC is usually clipped to the domestic hot water outlet or integrated into the plate heat exchanger manifold.
- Inspect connection: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the pipe and that the plug is fully seated in the harness.
- Resistance test (technician): With power off, disconnect the DHW NTC and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to Intergas NTC tables. Replace if open or shorted.
- Check wiring to PCB: Look for damaged insulation or corroded pins at the PCB connector.
If a new DHW NTC does not clear code 7, the PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a qualified Intergas engineer.
