Kospel Unstable DHW Temperature

Domestic hot water temperature fluctuates or runs hot then cold on a Kospel combi furnace.

Possible Causes

Scaled plate heat exchanger, Faulty DHW flow sensor, Incorrect DHW temperature setting, Partially blocked inlet filter

Safety: Risk of scalding. Reduce DHW setpoint before testing.

Check DHW setpoint: On the Kospel control panel, ensure the DHW temperature is set to a moderate value (e.g., 45–50°C).
Clean inlet filters: Turn off water, remove and clean any mesh filters on the cold water inlet to the furnace.
Descale plate heat exchanger: Have a technician chemically descale the DHW plate heat exchanger if limescale is suspected.
