Possible Causes
Failed DHW NTC sensor, Loose wiring to DHW sensor, Scale buildup affecting sensor pocket, Short circuit in sensor cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close water valves if removing any wet components.
- Locate DHW sensor: On Kospel combi furnaces, the DHW NTC is usually mounted on the DHW heat exchanger or outlet pipe.
- Inspect wiring: Check the cable and connector for damage or corrosion. Reseat the plug on the control board.
- Check for scale: If accessible, inspect the sensor pocket for limescale buildup which can insulate the sensor. Descale according to Kospel guidelines.
- Replace sensor if needed: If the sensor is physically damaged or tests out of range, install a new Kospel DHW NTC sensor.
Restore power and test DHW operation to ensure the error is cleared.
