Navien furnace displays E060, unit may not modulate correctly or may shut down

Critical safety: Gas valve and combustion adjustments must be performed by a licensed gas technician. Do not attempt if you are not qualified.

• Inspect gas valve wiring: With power off and gas shut, remove the front cover and locate the gas valve. Check that the multi-pin connector is fully seated and that wires are not damaged or pinched.
• Check for signs of overheating: Look for discoloration or burning on the gas valve body or nearby wiring. If present, the valve and possibly the PCB may need replacement.
• Verify correct gas type and conversion: Confirm that the furnace is configured for the correct gas type (natural gas or LP) and that any conversion kit was installed according to Navien instructions.
• Professional testing: A technician should measure manifold pressure and verify valve modulation under different firing rates using a manometer and combustion analyzer. If the valve does not respond correctly to control signals, it must be replaced.
• Reset after service: Once the gas valve or PCB is repaired or replaced, reset the unit and perform a full combustion check to ensure safe operation.
