Possible Causes

No fuel supply, blocked burner nozzle, faulty ignition electrodes, defective flame sensor, incorrect gas/oil pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off fuel supply and electrical power. Risk of explosion or fire if mis‑handled.

  • Check fuel supply: Ensure oil tank is not empty or gas supply valve is open. Verify any external safety shut‑off valves.
  • Inspect flue and air paths: Blocked flue or air intake can prevent proper combustion.
  • Attempt one reset: Follow the Nibe manual to perform a single burner reset. Do not repeatedly reset a locking‑out burner.

If E6 recurs, a licensed burner technician must inspect and service the burner, electrodes, flame sensor, and fuel system.
