Possible Causes
Open-circuit or shorted NTC sensor, Loose sensor wiring or connector, Sensor not properly clipped to pipe, Faulty main PCB input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before removing the front cover. Components may be hot; allow cooling time.
User checks:
- Power-cycle the unit and attempt a reset. If E06 returns immediately, a sensor or PCB fault is likely.
Technician checks:
- Locate the flow NTC sensor on the flow pipe leaving the heat exchanger.
- Check the sensor wiring harness and connector for corrosion, loose pins, or damage.
- Measure the resistance of the NTC at a known temperature and compare with Ravenheat resistance tables.
- If readings are out of range, replace the NTC sensor. If readings are correct, test continuity back to the PCB and verify PCB input.
Do not bypass temperature sensors; they are essential safety controls.
