Possible Causes
Leaking pump seals, Corroded heat exchanger, Loose compression fittings, Faulty automatic air vent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power immediately if water is leaking near electrical components. Risk of electric shock.
- Identify leak source: Remove the front cover and carefully inspect all visible joints, pump, and valves for signs of water.
- Tighten fittings: Gently tighten any accessible compression fittings that are weeping. Do not overtighten.
- Check automatic air vent: Inspect the AAV on top of the pump or heat exchanger. If it is leaking from the cap, tighten or replace the vent.
- Heat exchanger inspection: If water appears to come from the heat exchanger body, it may be cracked or corroded and will need professional replacement.
- Dry and test: After repairs, dry the area and monitor for further leaks during operation.
