Possible Causes
Faulty hot surface ignitor, Faulty gas valve, Blocked burner orifices, Pressure switch not proving
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off gas and power before working on burners or gas valve.
- Watch ignition: Restore power and call for heat. Confirm the sequence: inducer starts, ignitor glows, gas valve clicks, burners light. Note where it stops.
- Test ignitor: If it never glows, test with an ohmmeter and replace if open or cracked.
- Check gas valve operation: If the ignitor glows but there is no flame and no gas valve click, test for 24V at the gas valve during ignition. If voltage is present but no gas, replace the valve.
- Inspect burners: Remove and clean burners and orifices if they appear rusted or blocked.
Do not attempt to drill or enlarge gas orifices. Use only OEM parts.
