Possible Causes
Tripped high limit switch, Open door interlock switch, Faulty wiring in safety loop, External safety device (spill switch, low water cutoff) open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not bypass safety devices. Turn off power before testing continuity.
Steps:
- Check manual reset safeties: Locate any manual reset limits or spill switches on the furnace or vent connector. Press the reset button once.
- Inspect door switch: Ensure the burner access door is fully closed and the door switch actuator is engaged.
- Test continuity: Using a multimeter, check continuity through each safety device in the chain. Replace any switch that remains open at normal temperature.
- Inspect wiring: Look for broken or disconnected wires in the safety loop from the furnace to the Riello burner.
If A11 persists and all safeties test good, the control box input circuit may be faulty.
