Possible Causes
Clogged air intake or low combustion air, Oversized or worn nozzle, Low pump pressure, Dirty combustion head or heat exchanger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and fuel immediately. Sooting can quickly block the heat exchanger and flue.
Steps:
- Inspect air intake: Clear any obstructions to combustion air.
- Replace nozzle and filter: Install a new, correct-size nozzle and clean filter.
- Clean burner head: Remove soot from the Riello head and blast tube.
A full cleaning of the heat exchanger and flue plus combustion setup by a technician is strongly recommended.
