Bent blower wheel fins, loose blower mounting bolts, misaligned motor mount, debris stuck in blower wheel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before touching the blower assembly.
Steps:
- Remove blower compartment door and inspect the blower wheel for bent fins or accumulated dust. Clean with a soft brush and vacuum.
- Check that all mounting screws and bolts securing the blower housing and motor are tight.
- Spin the wheel by hand and observe for wobble. If the wheel is out of round or damaged, replace it with a Tappan-compatible blower wheel.
- After reassembly, run the furnace and verify vibration is reduced.
