Possible Causes
Closed gas isolation valve, Faulty gas valve, Faulty ignition control, Thermostat miswired
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off electrical power before opening panels. Do not attempt gas valve repairs yourself.
- Check thermostat: Ensure the thermostat is set to HEAT and the set temperature is above room temperature.
- Verify gas valve position: Confirm that the manual gas isolation valve near the Vokera furnace is fully open (handle in line with the pipe).
- Observe ignition sequence: With panels in place, restore power and call for heat. Listen for the fan, then ignition clicks, then burner light. If the fan runs but there is no ignition sound or flame, the ignition or gas valve circuit may be faulty.
- Call a technician: A licensed gas engineer must test gas pressures, gas valve operation, and ignition control.
