Possible Causes
Failed microprocessor on IFC, Power surge or lightning damage, Corroded board connectors, Moisture intrusion into control compartment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching the control board.
Steps:
- Inspect the control compartment for signs of water leaks from humidifiers or condensate lines. Correct any leaks before replacing electronics.
- Check all multi-pin connectors on the IFC for tight fit and corrosion; reseat them.
- Verify that line voltage to the board is within the specified range (typically 120 V ±10%).
- If F01 persists after power cycling and connector checks, replace the integrated furnace control with a Westinghouse-approved replacement, transferring each wire one at a time.
Note: Board replacement is moderately advanced; if unsure, hire a technician.
