Possible Causes
Failed ECM blower motor module, Seized blower bearings, Loose blower harness connector, Faulty Wolf blower control output on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power. The blower compartment may contain sharp edges; wear gloves.
- Access blower: Remove the blower compartment door. Locate the blower assembly and motor.
- Mechanical check: Spin the blower wheel by hand. It should move freely without scraping. If stiff or noisy, the motor bearings may be failing and the blower motor should be replaced.
- Electrical connections: Inspect the multi-pin ECM harness connector at the motor and at the Wolf control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and free of corrosion or burn marks.
- Operation test: Restore power and call for heat or fan-only mode. If the motor does not start and E10 appears, the ECM motor module or the control board output may be defective. These components typically require professional diagnosis and replacement.
