Courtesy light does not turn on when the door operates, but the opener otherwise works normally.

Safety first: Disconnect power before changing bulbs.

• Step 1 – Replace bulb: Install a new bulb of the correct type and wattage recommended by B&D.
• Step 2 – Check socket: Inspect the light socket for corrosion or bent contacts. Clean or replace as needed.
• Step 3 – Test light function: Restore power and operate the door. If the light still does not come on, the light relay or output on the control board may have failed.
• Step 4 – Board replacement: If you require the courtesy light feature, have a technician replace the control board.
