Possible Causes
Header bracket mounted too low, rail pitched downward toward door, door top section hitting rail or trolley cover
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Support the door in the open position before adjusting brackets.
- Step 1 – Observe contact point: Slowly open the door and watch where it contacts the rail or trolley.
- Step 2 – Adjust header bracket height: Raise the header bracket and rail attachment point so the rail clears the top of the door when fully open, following B&D installation clearances.
- Step 3 – Level the rail: Ensure the opener rail slopes slightly upward from the door to the opener head, not downward.
- Step 4 – Re‑set open limit: After mechanical adjustments, re‑set the open limit so the door stops just before contacting any hardware.
