Safety first: The constant‑pressure close mode is a safety fallback. Do not attempt to defeat the safety beams permanently.

• Step 1 – Check beam height: Ensure the B&D safety beams are mounted at the correct height above the floor (typically 150–200 mm) and facing each other directly.
• Step 2 – Inspect LEDs: Confirm that both beam LEDs are solid when the path is clear. If one is off or blinking, adjust alignment and check wiring.
• Step 3 – Shield from sunlight: If direct sunlight hits the receiver, install the supplied sunshades or slightly angle the beams to reduce glare while maintaining alignment.
• Step 4 – Repair or replace beams: If wiring and alignment are correct but the beams do not show a solid signal, replace the beam pair with a compatible B&D kit.
• Step 5 – Test normal close: After repair, verify that the door closes from the remote without needing to hold the wall button.
