Close Limit Misadjustment or Floor Obstruction
Door reverses immediately after hitting the floor; small gap may remain under the door or it bounces back up.

Possible Causes
Close limit set too far, raised floor or new seal, object under door, warped bottom panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of the door while adjusting limits.
- Step 1 – Inspect floor and seal: Check for stones, timber strips, or a new threshold seal that may be preventing full closure. Remove obstructions.
- Step 2 – Adjust close limit: Use the B&D limit adjustment buttons or dials to slightly reduce the close travel so the door stops just as it contacts the floor without excessive force.
- Step 3 – Test safety reversal: Place a 40 mm high object (e.g., a block of wood) under the door and close it. The door should reverse upon contact. If not, reduce close force and re‑test.
- Step 4 – Check bottom panel: If the bottom panel is bowed, consider reinforcing or replacing it so it seals evenly.
