Possible Causes

Track misalignment near bottom, damaged bottom roller, swollen timber door in damp conditions, close force set too low

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not increase force to compensate for a binding or damaged door; fix the mechanical issue first.

  • Step 1 – Inspect lower tracks: Look for dents, bends, or misalignment in the vertical tracks near the floor. Loosen brackets and realign if necessary.
  • Step 2 – Check bottom rollers: Spin the bottom rollers by hand. Replace any that are seized or wobbling.
  • Step 3 – Test door manually: Disconnect the B&D opener and close the door by hand. It should move smoothly through the last 300 mm of travel.
  • Step 4 – Fine‑tune close force: If the door is mechanically smooth, slightly increase the close force setting per the manual, staying within safe limits.
