Wall control button works intermittently or requires hard pressing to operate.

Safety first: Turn off power before removing the wall control cover.

• Step 1 – Inspect wiring: Remove the wall control from the wall and check that the low‑voltage wires are firmly attached to the terminals.
• Step 2 – Clean contacts (if serviceable): If the button mechanism is accessible, use contact cleaner to remove oxidation. Do not soak the electronics.
• Step 3 – Replace wall control: If the button is physically worn or cracked, replace the wall control with a compatible B&D unit.
