Possible Causes

Short circuit on photocell power supply, Incorrect wiring on BFT BUS (2-wire) safety devices, Failed BUS photocell or interface, Reversed polarity on BUS terminals

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before modifying BUS or photocell wiring.

  • Identify BUS devices: List all BFT BUS-connected devices (photocells, key selectors, etc.) on the 2-wire bus.
  • Isolate devices: Disconnect all BUS devices from the control board. Reconnect them one by one, powering up each time, to identify which device triggers E14.
  • Check polarity: Ensure BUS+ and BUS− wires are correctly connected on all devices and at the control board.
  • Inspect for shorts: Look for crushed cable sections or water ingress in junction boxes.
  • Replace faulty device: If one BUS device consistently causes E14 when connected, replace that device.
