Possible Causes
Manual release lever left in disengaged position, Broken or misadjusted release switch inside operator, Faulty sensor detecting manual mode, Incomplete re-engagement of trolley to carriage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the door is stable and supported before re-engaging the opener.
- Check manual release: Verify that the BFT manual release cord or key-operated release has been fully returned to the engaged position.
- Re-engage trolley: Move the door manually until the trolley reconnects with the carriage (you may hear a click). Some models require a short motor run to re-latch.
- Inspect release switch: Inside the operator, locate the micro-switch or sensor that detects manual mode. Ensure it is actuated correctly when the mechanism is engaged.
- Test operation: After engagement, issue an open/close command and confirm that E17 clears.
