Possible Causes
Failed motor relay on BFT board, Broken solder joint on relay pins, Defective microcontroller output, Burned track in motor drive circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before inspecting the control board.
- Check other functions: Verify that courtesy light, display, and accessories work. If they do, the low-voltage logic is alive but motor drive may be faulty.
- Listen for relay: Issue an open/close command and listen for a click from the motor relay. No click suggests relay or control failure.
- Inspect board: Look for discoloration or cracks around the motor relay and its solder joints. Gently press the relay to see if it is loose.
- Board replacement: Field repair of relays is not usually recommended; replace the entire BFT control board with the correct model.
