Possible Causes
Down travel limit set too far, Force sensitivity set too low, Door hitting raised floor or obstacle, Binding bottom seal increasing resistance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Keep clear of the door while adjusting limits and forces.
- Inspect floor contact: Ensure the floor is level and there are no objects where the door lands. Check that the bottom seal is not excessively thick or folded.
- Adjust close limit: Use the BFT limit adjustment (mechanical cams or electronic settings) to stop the door slightly earlier so it just seals against the floor without excessive pressure.
- Adjust force: Increase the closing force parameter slightly within BFT's recommended range.
- Test safety reversal: Place a 50 mm object under the door and confirm that it reverses upon contact, as required by safety standards.
