BFT Open Limit Misadjustment or Obstruction at Header

Garage door stops a few centimeters before fully open and will not travel further.

Possible Causes

Open limit set too short, Door hitting header bracket or stop bolt, Bent top section of door contacting opener rail, Travel parameter incorrectly set

Safety: Keep clear of moving parts while adjusting limits.

Inspect header area: Look for physical contact between the door top section and the opener rail or header bracket.
Adjust open limit: Increase the open travel using the BFT limit adjustment until the door fully clears the opening without hitting stops.
Check door sections: Ensure the top section is not bowed or bent upward.
