Possible Causes
Misaligned CAME DIR or DELTA photocells, Obstructed safety beam path, Faulty photocell transmitter or receiver, Broken wiring between photocells and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before handling wiring. Keep clear of the door travel path.
Steps:
- Check for obstructions: Remove any objects, cobwebs, or dirt blocking the beam between the CAME photocell pair (e.g. DIR10, DELTA‑S).
- Verify LED indicators: On most CAME photocells, a small LED shows alignment. When aligned and unobstructed, the receiver LED should be steady. If off or blinking, adjust alignment.
- Realign photocells: Loosen the mounting screws and gently rotate/tilt the receiver until the LED indicates correct alignment. Retighten screws.
- Check wiring: With power off, inspect the 2‑ or 4‑core cable from photocells to the control board terminals (e.g. "PHOT", "TX", "RX"). Tighten loose screws and look for crushed or cut cable.
- Bypass test (only for diagnosis): On the control board, temporarily bridge the photocell input terminals as per the CAME wiring diagram to simulate a closed contact. Power up and test. If E2 disappears and the door works, the photocells or their wiring are faulty and should be replaced.
Restore proper safety devices after testing. Never leave the system with photocells bypassed in normal operation.
