Possible Causes
Stuck emergency stop button wired to STOP input, Open contact on safety line (STOP NC circuit), Miswired safety device on STOP terminals, Faulty external safety device (e.g. key switch, mushroom stop)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before modifying wiring. Ensure the door cannot move unexpectedly.
Steps:
- Locate STOP devices: Identify any emergency stop buttons, key switches, or external controls wired to the STOP input on the CAME board.
- Reset stop buttons: Twist or pull to reset any mushroom‑type emergency stop. Check indicator lights if present.
- Check STOP wiring: On the control board, locate the STOP terminals (often NC). With power off, verify that the connected device provides a closed circuit when not pressed.
- Bypass test: Temporarily bridge the STOP terminals with a short wire link. Power up and see if E5 clears and the door operates. If so, the external STOP device or its wiring is faulty.
- Inspect cable: Look for cuts, crushed sections, or loose terminal screws along the STOP circuit wiring.
Replace any defective emergency stop or key switch. Restore proper STOP wiring after testing; never leave it permanently bypassed.
