Garage door opens but will not close using remote or wall button; motor does not even attempt to start in close direction

Safety first: Verify that the door path is clear before forcing any closure.

Steps:

• Check photocell status: Ensure the beam is clear and LEDs indicate healthy operation.
• Verify close limit: Manually move the door slightly off the fully open position and try closing. If it now moves, the open limit may be misadjusted.
• Inspect wiring: Confirm that safety devices are wired to the correct terminals as per the CAME diagram.
• Review parameters: Enter installer mode and check that the operating logic allows both opening and closing from the selected inputs.

If the motor never energizes in the close direction, the control board output or motor winding for that direction may be faulty.
