Possible Causes
Force setting too low on CAME control unit, Stiff door movement or unbalanced springs, Worn rollers or bent tracks, Motor current sensing miscalibrated
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not increase force to mask serious mechanical problems.
Steps:
- Test door balance: Disconnect the operator and move the door manually. If heavy or jerky, have springs and hardware serviced.
- Lubricate hardware: Lubricate hinges, rollers, and bearings with appropriate garage door lubricant (not grease on tracks).
- Adjust force: Slightly increase the open/close force on the CAME board, staying within manufacturer limits.
- Re‑run learning: Perform a new travel and force learning cycle so the control unit recalibrates current thresholds.
If reversals continue with a smooth door, the motor or control board current sensor may be faulty.
