Possible Causes
Open or faulty photocell circuit, Faulty safety edge, STOP circuit open, Control board configured to require hold‑to‑run due to safety fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Identify and repair the safety fault rather than bypassing it.
Steps:
- Check photocells: Verify LEDs and alignment; repair or replace if faulty.
- Inspect STOP input: Ensure any emergency stop or key switch is reset and the STOP NC circuit is closed.
- Check safety edge: If installed, test continuity or resistance (8k2) and inspect wiring.
- Reset control logic: After fixing safety devices, power cycle the control unit. Some CAME boards automatically return to normal impulse mode when all safety inputs are healthy.
If constant‑pressure mode persists, review DIP switch or parameter settings for operating logic and restore standard automatic mode.
