Possible Causes
Receiver section of logic board failed, Broken or disconnected antenna wire, Remotes not programmed, Radio interference
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep the door in sight while testing remotes to avoid accidents.
- Reprogram remotes: Clear memory by holding the LEARN button until the LED goes out, then reprogram each remote.
- Inspect antenna: Ensure the antenna wire hanging from the Craftsman opener is intact, not cut, and hanging straight down.
- Test range: Stand within 10–15 feet of the opener and test remotes. If they work only very close, interference or a weak receiver is likely.
- Eliminate interference: Temporarily unplug nearby wireless devices (Wi-Fi extenders, baby monitors) and test again.
- Replace logic board: If remotes still do not work but the wall control does, the radio receiver on the logic board may have failed and the board should be replaced.
