Possible Causes
Wall console lock/vacation mode enabled, Shorted or open wall control wiring, Defective wall control switch, Miswired wall control terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on low-voltage wiring.
Check wall console features:
- Some Decko wall consoles have a lock or vacation button. Press and hold this button for several seconds to toggle the lock mode off.
- Observe any indicator LEDs on the console; a steady or blinking pattern may indicate lock mode.
Bypass wall control:
- At the opener head, remove the two wall control wires from their terminals.
- Momentarily short the two wall control terminals with a small insulated jumper wire. If the door operates, the wall control or its wiring is faulty.
Inspect wiring:
- Trace the wall control cable for staples or damage and replace if necessary.
- Replace the wall control with a compatible Decko wall button if the wiring is good but the switch does not function.
