Possible Causes

Down travel limit set too long, Uneven or raised garage floor, Overly stiff bottom seal, Door binding at bottom brackets

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep clear of the door while adjusting limits.

Adjust down limit:

  • Locate the DOWN limit adjustment screw on the Decko opener.
  • Turn the screw in the direction that reduces travel (usually counterclockwise) by 1/4 turn.
  • Test closing. Repeat until the door stops just at the floor without significant bounce.

Inspect floor and seal:

  • Check for high spots in the concrete or objects under the door.
  • If the bottom seal is excessively stiff or deformed, replace it with a compatible seal.
