Possible Causes
Misaligned photo eyes, Dirty sensor lenses, Sensor wiring reversed or loose, Sunlight interference on receiver sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: The hold-to-close behavior indicates the safety system is not satisfied. Do not bypass sensors for normal use.
Inspect sensors:
- Check that both Decko safety sensors are mounted at the same height (about 4–6 inches above the floor) and facing each other.
- Clean the lenses with a soft cloth.
- Adjust alignment until both sensor LEDs are solid (not blinking).
Check wiring:
- Verify that the wires are firmly connected at both the sensors and the opener head.
- Correct any reversed polarity if your model requires specific +/− connections.
Once the sensors are aligned and wiring is correct, the door should close normally without holding the button.
