How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: The bottom edge safety device prevents crushing injuries. Do not bypass it for normal operation.
- Inspect safety edge: Examine the rubber bottom seal and integrated optical or pneumatic edge for cuts, kinks, or water ingress. Replace if damaged.
- Check cabling: For wired edges, follow the cable from the bottom of the door to the hinge point and up to the operator. Look for breaks at flex points. Repair or replace damaged cable.
- Check wireless edge battery: If your Garador system uses a wireless bottom edge transmitter, open the housing and replace the battery with the specified type. Re‑pair the transmitter if required.
- Test edge function: With the door closing, gently press the bottom edge. The door should stop and reverse immediately. If not, the edge or interface module is faulty and must be replaced.
- Reset error: Power cycle the operator after repairs and run a full open/close cycle to confirm E10 is cleared.
