Possible Causes
Door out of balance or binding in tracks, Force sensitivity set too low, Damaged roller or bent track, Worn or dry door hinges and pivot points
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Do not attempt to force a jammed door with the opener; this can damage the operator and door.
- Test door balance: Pull the manual release and move the door halfway open. A properly balanced Garador door should stay in place. If it falls or rises, the torsion or extension springs need adjustment by a qualified door technician.
- Inspect tracks and rollers: Look for bent tracks, loose brackets, or flat‑spotted rollers. Straighten minor track misalignments with a soft mallet and tighten all track fasteners. Replace damaged rollers.
- Lubricate moving parts: Apply a light garage door lubricant to rollers (except nylon wheels), hinges, and pivot points. Do not lubricate the tracks themselves; just clean them.
- Adjust force settings: On the Garador control board, locate the open/close force adjustment (potentiometers or menu settings). Increase the closing force slightly within the limits specified in the manual. Never set force so high that the door will not reverse when obstructed.
- Run a test cycle: Restore power, re‑engage the carriage, and run the door. Perform a safety reversal test by placing a solid object (e.g., a 50 mm block) under the door; it must reverse on contact.
If E3 persists: The motor current sensing circuit or control board may be faulty. Seek professional service.
