Possible Causes
Faulty Hall effect sensor on motor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at control board, Demagnetized or missing motor magnet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power. Do not run the operator with covers removed unless necessary for testing, and keep clear of moving parts.
- Check wiring: Locate the small multi‑core cable from the motor to the control board (Hall sensor lead). Ensure the plug is fully seated and the cable is not pinched or cut.
- Inspect sensor mount: On many Garador motors, the Hall sensor is mounted near a magnet or slotted disc on the motor shaft. Confirm the sensor is firmly fixed and correctly aligned with the magnet/disc.
- Clean sensor area: Remove dust or metal filings that may interfere with the sensor signal.
- Test with door disconnected: Release the door and run the motor with no load. If E7 still appears, the Hall sensor or motor assembly is likely faulty.
- Replace sensor or motor: If the Hall sensor is a separate module, replace it with a genuine Garador part. If integrated, replace the complete motor/gearbox assembly.
