Possible Causes
Normal stretch over time, Loose tensioner nut, Worn belt teeth, Incorrect initial installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before adjusting chain or belt tension.
- Inspect tension: Press the chain or belt midway along the Garador rail. A small amount of sag is normal; excessive droop indicates the need for adjustment.
- Locate tensioner: At the end of the rail, find the tension adjustment nut or bolt. Refer to the Garador manual for the correct procedure.
- Adjust gradually: Tighten the tensioner in small increments until the chain/belt has about 6–12 mm of deflection when pressed lightly.
- Do not overtighten: Excessive tension can damage the motor and sprockets. Stop once the slack is removed and operation is smooth.
- Test run: Restore power and run the door through several cycles, listening for abnormal noise.
