Possible Causes
Actual obstruction in beam path, Misaligned Safe-T-Beam sensors, Dirty sensor lenses, Sunlight interference on receiver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never disable or tape over safety sensors. They are required for safe operation.
Steps:
- Clear the path: Remove any objects, tools, or debris near the bottom of the door that could block the beam.
- Clean lenses: Gently wipe each sensor lens with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, cobwebs, or moisture.
- Check alignment: Verify both sensor LEDs are lit solid. Adjust until the receiver LED (usually green) is steady, not flickering.
- Shield from sun: If direct sunlight hits the receiver, temporarily shade it and test. If this resolves the issue, consider installing a sun shield or slightly angling the sensor.
- Retest closing: Use the remote to close the door. The lights should not flash 10 times if the beam is clear and aligned.
