Possible Causes

Corrupted non-volatile memory on PCB, Incorrect limit programming sequence, Power interruption during setup, Faulty program button

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep clear of the moving door during programming. Ensure the area under the door is clear.

Steps to reprogram limits:

  • 1. Factory reset: Follow the Gliderol manual to perform a full reset (often holding the program button for an extended period until LEDs change state).
  • 2. Clear obstructions: Make sure nothing is blocking the door at the open or closed positions, including mechanical stops that differ from the original installation.
  • 3. Follow programming steps exactly: Enter limit setup mode, drive the door to the fully open position and store, then to the fully closed position and store, as per the manual. Do not interrupt power during this process.
  • 4. Test multiple cycles: Run the door through several full open/close cycles to confirm limits are retained.

If the opener forgets limits after power loss or cannot store them at all, the memory section of the control board is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
