Possible Causes

Failed onboard radio receiver module, Broken or disconnected antenna wire, Radio frequency interference, Incorrect or erased remote coding

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control housing. Do not modify RF components beyond basic inspection and reconnection.

Steps to restore remote operation:

  • 1. Check remote batteries: Replace the battery in each Gliderol handset with the correct type (often CR2032 or 27A). Ensure contacts are clean.
  • 2. Verify antenna: Locate the thin antenna wire exiting the control board or housing. Make sure it is intact, not cut short, and not wrapped around mains cables. Straighten it and position it away from metal surfaces.
  • 3. Relearn remotes: Press and hold the Learn or Code button on the Gliderol control board until the indicator LED flashes. Press the remote button to store it, then test operation.
  • 4. Reduce interference: Move Wi‑Fi routers, LED drivers, or other RF devices away from the opener if possible. Test remotes at different distances.
  • 5. Inspect receiver module: Some Gliderol models use a plug‑in receiver card. Reseat the card and check for corrosion or burn marks.

If remotes still do not function but the wall button does, the receiver module or control board RF section is likely faulty and may need replacement.
