Possible Causes

Remote memory full, Corrupted EEPROM on control board, Power surge damage, Faulty learn button circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before removing covers. Avoid static discharge when touching the PCB.

Steps to clear and reprogram memory:

  • 1. Clear all remotes: Press and hold the Learn or Code button on the Gliderol control board for 10–15 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly or goes solid, indicating memory clear.
  • 2. Power cycle: Turn the opener off at the power point for 30 seconds, then back on to reset the logic.
  • 3. Reprogram remotes: Press the Learn button briefly, then press the desired button on the remote. Wait for confirmation (LED flash or click). Repeat for each handset.
  • 4. Limit number of remotes: Some Gliderol models support only a fixed number of handsets (e.g., 6–20). Do not exceed this limit.
  • 5. Inspect learn button: If the learn button is stuck or physically damaged, it may continuously signal the board. Replace the button or the entire control board if necessary.

If E7 reappears immediately after clearing memory, the EEPROM or microcontroller on the control board is likely defective and the board should be replaced.
