Possible Causes
Blown accessory fuse on logic board, Shorted accessory device, Miswired keypad or add-on module, Failed accessory power regulator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on accessory terminals. Avoid shorting terminals with tools.
- Disconnect all accessories: Remove wires for keyless entry, wired key switch, and any add-on modules from the Guardian logic board accessory terminals.
- Inspect for shorts: Check each accessory cable for crushed insulation, exposed copper, or water intrusion.
- Reconnect one at a time: Restore power and reconnect accessories one by one, testing after each. The device that causes the error to return is likely faulty.
- Check board fuse (if present): Some Guardian boards have a small fuse protecting accessory power. Replace with the same rating if blown.
- Replace faulty accessory or board: Replace any shorted keypad or module. If no accessory is shorted and the code persists, the accessory power circuit on the logic board may be damaged and the board should be replaced.
