Possible Causes
Open circuit in wall control cable, Shorted wall station, Loose low‑voltage terminals on opener, Failed wall control input on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on low‑voltage wiring to avoid accidental short circuits.
Steps:
- Inspect wall station: Remove the Henderson wall control from the wall. Check for broken terminals, corrosion, or moisture damage.
- Check cable: Examine the two‑conductor cable from the wall station to the opener for staples through the insulation or visible cuts.
- Terminal check: At the opener, remove and reinsert the wall control wires into the designated terminals. Tighten screws securely.
- Bypass test: With power restored, briefly short the wall control terminals at the opener using an insulated jumper. If the door operates, the cable or wall station is faulty. Replace the Henderson wall control station or cable as needed.
- If jumper does not operate door: The wall control input on the Henderson control PCB is likely defective and the board must be replaced.
