Steps to resolve:

• Inspect the door path: Check the floor, tracks, and around the door for objects or ice buildup blocking movement. Remove any obstructions.
• Check rollers and hinges: Manually disengage the opener using the Henderson emergency release cord. Lift the door by hand. It should move smoothly and stay at mid‑height. If it binds, inspect rollers, hinges, and tracks for damage or misalignment.
• Lubricate moving parts: Apply a light garage door lubricant to Henderson track rollers, hinges, and torsion spring bearings (do not over‑lubricate). Avoid grease on the track itself.
• Inspect tracks: Look for bent or twisted vertical or horizontal tracks. Gently straighten minor bends; replace severely damaged sections.
• Adjust closing force: Restore power and locate the down force adjustment on the Henderson opener (dial or digital setting). Increase slightly per the manual, then test. Do not exceed manufacturer limits.
• If E3 persists: The door may be out of balance or the Henderson force sensor circuit on the control PCB may be faulty. Door balancing and PCB replacement should be done by a qualified technician.
