• Check cabling: For wired edges, follow the spiral cable or flat cable from the bottom rail to the operator head. Look for broken conductors, crushed sections or loose plug connections at the control board safety edge terminals.
• Wireless edge: Replace the battery in the safety edge transmitter (usually located in a housing on the bottom rail). Ensure the antenna wire is intact and not pinched.
• Control board settings: Verify that the safety edge type configured on the Hormann control unit (e.g. A/B/C DIP switch or menu parameter) matches the installed hardware. Refer to the specific operator manual (Supramatic, Promatic, RollMatic, etc.).
• Test: Restore power and test closing. If the code persists, the safety edge strip or transmitter module is likely defective and should be replaced.
